Who we are
PHILARTIA is a cultural non-profit civil society organization that was established to act as an open channel of communication between the arts, the environment and civil society.
Established in 2018 in Thessaloniki PHILARTIA has, as its main activity, design, undertaking, management, implementation and promotion of initiatives, events, actions and shows of cultural, tourist, scientific, educational, social and environmental character or interest in Greece and abroad.
PHILARTIA seeks to raise public awareness, education and participation in cultural, social and environmental issues, through research and scientific documentation, collaboration with institutions, companies and specialized professionals, in producing print, digital and electronic audiovisual material, development of technological applications.
One of PHILARTIA's main objectives for the coming period is the empowerment of remote areas of the country through their integration into the modern cultural map. Transnational geographic regions, areas affected by major environmental disasters as well as population-deprived communities are at the forefront of our targeting and programming.
